Cifei killed the dragon(次非殺蛟)
During the Warring States Period in China,
the Prime Minister of the Qin Kingdom (Lü Buwei) compiled a series of books.
There is a story in these books.
There was a famous warrior in the Kingdom
of Chu, his name was (Ci Fei).
After a very difficult search, he obtained
a very magical sword.
He took the sword on a boat across a very
large river.
When the boat reached the middle of the
river, the water suddenly rose.
Two dragons came out of the water and they
also wanted this magic sword.
The two dragons said to [Ci Fei].
Hand over the sword or we will sink the
boat.
All the passengers on the boat were
terrified and almost all of them started to cry.
(Cifei pulled out the sword and said to all
the passengers on the boat.
These two dragons want this magic sword as
much as I do, but I cannot accept their coercion.
Death is the common end of all our lives.
I believe that the value of courage is more
important than life.
Having said this, he jumped into the river
and fought the two dragons.
After a very hard fight, he defeated the
two dragons.
Everyone on the boat later arrived safely
at their destination.
After hearing this story, Confucius said to
his friends
Only those who are not afraid of death can
truly live the value of life.
The literal translation of this saying is
that Cifei killed the dragon.
