A young orphan(六尺之孤)
During the Spring and Autumn Period in
China, there was a woman named Xiaoyi Bao in the Kingdom of Lu. She did something
that made people respect her, and her story was recorded in history books.
She was very strong and healthy. After
giving birth to a child, she was hired by the royal family of the Kingdom of Lu
to be the prince's wet nurse in the palace.
She brought her child to live in the palace
and used her breast milk to feed the prince and her child every day.
One night she suddenly heard a loud noise
in the palace and she left her room to find out what was going on.
She caught a soldier passing by her room
and asked him.
What happened? Why are you in such a hurry?
the soldier said to her.
The king's brother had staged a military
coup and led an army into the palace, where the king and queen were taken
prisoner.
Many people were killed. Come with us and
escape.
She was shocked when she heard the news.
She went back to her room and looked at the prince and her son, who were still
asleep in bed. She said to herself.
I want to escape right now, but I can't
take two children with me at the same time. I think those rebels are looking
for the prince right now. What should I do?
She made a decision. She changed the
clothes of the two sleeping children. She picked up the sleeping prince, who
was in civilian clothes. With tears in her eyes, she kissed her son.
Her son had no idea what had happened and
slept soundly in his bed in the prince's clothes.
She spoke softly to her son.
My dear son, I have made this decision to
prevent the killing of the heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Lu. I love you
very much and I hope you can forgive me.
She took the prince from the palace and
went to the home of a loyal minister who lived outside the palace. The loyal
minister took her and the prince out of the Kingdom of Lu overnight and fled to
another kingdom.
When the prince came of age, he led an army
back to the Kingdom of Lu and reclaimed his throne.
The prince was very grateful to (Xiao
Yibao).
The prince said to (Xiao Yibao).
I was orphaned at a very young age, and it
was because of you that I was able to survive.
I will always be grateful for your kindness
to me. I will take care of you and be filial to you as if you were my mother.
This idiom literally means a young orphan.

中國的春秋時代，魯王國有一個名字叫做(孝義保)的婦人，她做了一件令人們感到尊敬的事情，她的故事被記載在歷史書中。
她的身材很強壯又很健康，她生了一個小孩後，被魯王國的皇室聘請到皇宮中當王子的乳母。
她帶著自己的孩子到了皇宮中生活，她每天用她的乳汁撫育王子與自己的孩子。
在一個夜裡，她突然聽到皇宮中發出了很巨大的吵雜聲，她離開的她的房間想要了解到底發生了什麼事。
她抓住一個奔跑著經過她的房間的士兵，她問那個士兵。
到底發生了什麼事情呢?為何你如此匆忙?
那個士兵對她說。
國王的哥哥發動了一場軍事政變，國王的哥哥帶領了一支軍隊攻入了皇宮，國王與皇后都被抓住了。
有很多人都被殺了，你快跟著我們一起逃命吧。
她聽到這個消息後非常的震驚，她走回她的房間，她看著還在床上睡覺的王子與自己的兒子，她對自己說。
我要立刻逃走，但我不可能同時帶走兩個小孩，我認為這些叛軍現在正在搜尋王子的下落，我該怎麼做呢?
她做了一個決定，她把熟睡中的這兩個小孩子的衣服交換，她抱起穿著平民的衣服的還在熟睡的王子，她眼中留著淚親吻了她的兒子。
她的兒子完全不知道發生了什麼事，她的兒子穿著王子的衣服在床上睡得非常香甜。
她輕聲的對自己的兒子說。
我親愛的兒子啊，我為了魯王國的王位繼承人不被殺，所以我才會做出這個決定。我很愛你，我希望你可以原諒我。
她帶著王子離開皇宮，她帶著王子到了住在皇宮外的一個忠誠的大臣家中，這個忠誠的大臣帶著她與王子連夜離開魯王國到另外一個王國避難。
這個王子成年後成立並率領一位支軍隊回到魯王國，王子奪回屬於自己的王位。
王子非常的感謝(孝義保)。
王子對(孝義保)說。
我在年紀很小的時候就成為孤兒，因為有妳我才可以活下來。
我永遠感謝你對我的恩惠，我會把你當作我的母親一樣的照顧並且孝順妳，。
