During the Zhou dynasty in China, there was
a very important minister named Lü Shang who was often referred to by later
generations as Jiang Taigong.
He helped the founder of the Zhou dynasty
to defeat the Shang dynasty and establish the Zhou dynasty. He served four
successive kings, leading armies against enemies and establishing effective
systems to govern the Zhou Dynasty.
His advice was highly valued by the
subsequent Zhou kings, and his story is recorded in history books.
The founder of the Zhou dynasty was named
Ji Fa. He addressed Lü Shang respectfully, saying, "I want to be a good
leader. Could you please give me some advice?"
Lü Shang smiled and nodded, then told Ji
Fa, 'Engrave these words of wisdom on the front door of your home.
'Treat every guest and visitor with
respect, regardless of their status, whether noble or humble.'

within the Zhou dynasty, you must be cautious with your words and actions and
abide by the laws and moral standards.
