Extremely flustered(慌慌張張)
At the end of the Ming dynasty in China,
there was a famous writer named Feng Menglong who compiled a collection of
short stories.
One of these stories is about a renowned
Tang Dynasty minister named Pei Du.
When Pei Du was young, he was extremely
poor — he had no money at all, as if he had just been robbed.
Despite his hardships, he was a very
cheerful person and maintained a positive outlook on the future.
One day, he went hiking on a nearby
mountain. At around noon, he stopped at a small temple on the mountain to rest.
When he entered the main hall of the
temple, he saw a solemn statue of Buddha. In front of the statue was a table
where worshippers could place offerings.
On the table, he noticed a belt adorned
with pearls, gemstones and precious jade. Such a luxurious accessory was
usually owned by people of great power and status. He looked around, but saw no
one. He thought to himself, "Someone very wealthy or powerful must have
come to this temple to bow and prostrate themselves before the Buddha statue
and left this belt here.
This belt is very valuable. The owner might
come back looking for it. I should put it away and wait for them to appear.'
After putting the belt away, Pei Du went to sit and rest in the corridor outside the main hall. About half an hour later, he saw a young woman run into the temple in a panic. Her expression was extremely frantic. She went straight to the hall where the Buddha statue was kept. He then heard her crying.
He went into the hall and asked the young
woman, 'Why are you crying in this hall? What happened?'
Between sobs, the young woman answered,
"I lost a belt decorated with pearls, gemstones and precious jade. This
belt is very important.' My father was wrongly accused and is now in prison. A
kind person gave me this belt and told me to sell it and use the money to prove
his innocence.
I was overjoyed after receiving the belt. I
believed that I had met this kind person because of Buddha's blessing, and that
I was fortunate to have done so. I brought the belt here to thank Buddha.
About 30 minutes after leaving the temple
and bowing to Buddha, I suddenly realised that my belt was missing. I returned
to the temple to look for it.
I still don't know where it is now. I'm
feeling very anxious, which is why I'm crying.
After hearing the young woman's story, Pei
Du took out the belt he had kept and gave it to her.
He asked the young woman,
'Is this the belt you lost?'
The young woman was suddenly struck by the
sight of her lost belt reappearing before her, and a smile of happiness returned
to her face, which had been wet with tears.
The idiom directly translates as 'extremely
flustered'.

他的這本小說集中有一個故事，這個故事的主角是唐朝一個著名的名字叫做(斐度)的大臣。
裴度年輕的時候非常的貧窮，他像是剛被洗劫過一樣連一點錢都沒有。
他是一個很開朗的人，他面對生活的窘迫，他還是對他的未來保持的積極的信念。
有一天，他到他家附近的一座山上遊玩，到了接近中午的時刻，他走入了山上一間小小的寺廟想要休息一下。
當他走入這間寺廟的大廳時，他看到大廳中放著一尊表情很莊嚴的佛祖的雕像，雕像前面有一張桌子，這張桌子是讓一些來跪拜佛祖的信徒們放供品用的。
他看到這張桌上放著一條以珍珠、寶石與珍貴玉石裝飾的腰帶。這是一件極其華貴的服飾配件，擁有者通常是一些非常有權力與地位的人。
他環顧四周後，他沒有看到任何人，他的心中對自己說。
一定是剛才有一個很有錢或是很有地位的人來到這座寺廟中向這尊佛祖的雕像鞠躬與跪拜時把這條腰帶解開放在這邊，他在離開的時候不小心忘記帶走這條腰帶。
這條腰帶非常的有價值，這個人很有可能會再次回來尋找，我應該先把這條腰帶收起來，然後等待這個遺失了腰帶的人出現。
裴度把這條腰帶收起來後，他走到大廳外的迴廊上坐著休息。過了大概半個小時，他看到一個年輕的女子非常慌張的跑進這座寺廟，她的表情及其慌亂，這個女子直接奔入放置佛像的大廳，接著他聽到那個女子發出了哭泣的聲音。
他走入大廳，對那個女子說。
你為何在這座大廳內哭泣呢?你發生了什麼事呢?
那個女子邊哭邊回答。
我遺失了一條以珍珠、寶石與珍貴玉石裝飾的腰帶，這條腰帶非常的重要。
我的父親因為被誣陷所以現在被關在大牢中，有一個好心的人給我這條腰帶，那個好心的人對我說，把這條腰帶賣掉，妳可以用賣掉腰帶所得到的這些錢去想辦法證明妳的父親的清白。
我得到這條腰帶後，我非常的高興，我認為我可以遇到這個好心的人是因為佛祖的保佑，所以我帶著這條腰帶來到這裡感謝佛祖。
我跪拜完佛祖離開這座寺廟大約30分鐘後，我突然發覺這條腰帶不建了，因此我回到這座寺廟中尋找。
我不知道這條腰帶現在在何處，我現在的心情很焦慮，所以我才會哭泣。
裴度聽完這個少女的話後，他拿出了這條被他收起來的腰帶給這個少女。
他對那個少女說。
妳所遺失的腰帶是這一條對嗎?
那個女子突然看到自己所遺失的腰帶又出現在自己面前，她原本哭泣的臉上露出了高興的笑容。
