there was a famous writer named Feng Menglong who wrote a collection of short
stories.
One of these stories is about a renowned
Tang Dynasty minister named Pei Du.
When Pei Du was young, he was extremely
poor and looked as if he had just been robbed.
Despite his hardships, he was a very
cheerful person and maintained a positive outlook on his future.
One day, he was walking down the street
when he saw a small stall run by a fortune teller.
Seeing Pei Du, the fortune teller said to
him,
'Would you like to know your fortune? If
you do, then I can serve you.'
This is what most fortune tellers say to
attract customers.
They usually say this to their customers
once they have sat down.
'Your future will be filled with
misfortune, but if you give me some money, I can avert it.'
Phaedo was a simple man. Hearing these
words, he sat down at the fortune teller's stall out of curiosity.
He said to the fortune teller, "I am a
very poor man. I want to know which path I should take in life and which
professions would make me more likely to succeed.'
The fortune teller carefully examined his
face, then said, looking grave, "Are you still worried about what work to
do to succeed? Based on my observation of your face, I predict that you will
encounter a great calamity within a few years. You will die in an accident.'
After saying this, the fortune teller shook
his head and told Phaedo, 'You have a very unfortunate fate.
Predicting such a tragic end to your life
has made me very sad, too." I won't charge you for the reading. I wish you
a pleasant day ahead.'
After hearing this, Phidia left the fortune
teller's stall. As he walked away, he thought, 'Perhaps the fortune teller is
wrong. I shouldn't take what he says too seriously.'

你還在擔心你的未來應該要從事那些工作才能夠成功嗎?根據我對於你的面相的觀察與推斷，你在幾年內就會遭遇到一個很巨大的災禍，你會因為一件意外事故而死亡。
那個相命師說完這些話後搖著頭對斐度說。
你是一個命運非常差的人。
