中國的宋王朝時代有一個著名的學者，他的名字是邵雍(西元1012-西元1077)，歷史書上記載過一個關於他的故事。
邵雍還是少年的時候，他的理想是進入中央政府擔任官員，他很認真地念書，他不因為生活環境與經濟環境不好就停止學習，他有好幾年的時候晚上都沒有上床睡覺。
有一天，他突然心中感悟，我念了那麼多古代的經典書籍，但是我為何始終待在我的家鄉，他就對他的父親說，我要出去遊歷，我要用我的眼睛去看看那些我讀的書的那些偉大的學者生前生活過的地方去看看。
他離開他的家後陸陸續續到了中國各地，又過了幾年，他的心中又有了新的感受，他對自己說，我為了尋找存在於宇宙中的真理到處旅行，但我現在才發現，這個真理無所不在，這個真理就存在於任何一個我生活的地方，他結束了這幾年的旅行，他回家了。
他大概在30歲的時候帶著他的父母搬到洛陽這座城市居住，這座城市是一座非常有歷史底蘊的古老的大城，這座城市中住的很多道德水平很高且很有學識的名人。
他與他的父母親住在一間非常簡陋的房子裡，這間房子非常的老舊。
他每天都親自生火做飯給他的父母親吃，他雖然沒有錢，但是他的心境非常的平靜且快樂，他的父母親幾年後死了，他非常的悲傷，但是他的心中感覺到很欣慰，因為他在他的父母生前始終陪伴在他的父母身邊。
他在洛陽市生活了幾年後，他認識了幾個朋友，這幾個朋友都是著名的官員與學者，這幾個朋友跟他的交情非常好，這幾個朋友一起幫他買了一間比較好的房子，邵雍對他的朋友們說，我很感謝你們大家合資送我這間房子，我覺得這間房子就像是一個平靜又快樂的巢穴，我現在整天都想待在家哩，我都不想出門了。
這幾個朋友還常常到他家跟他對談，他們分享彼此讀書的心得與生活的感受，，他們的友誼持續維持到他們年老。

A Peaceful and Happy Nest(安樂窩)
This blog was originally intended as an

During the Song dynasty in China, there was
a famous scholar named Shao Yong (1012–1077 AD). History books tell a story
about him.
When he was young, his ambition was to
serve as an official in the central government. Despite his poor living and
economic circumstances, he studied diligently and never stopped learning. For
several years, he did not go to bed at night.
One day, he suddenly realised, 'I have read
so many ancient classics, but why have I remained in my hometown?' He told his
father, "I want to travel. I want to see with my own eyes the places where
those great scholars I have read about lived.'
After leaving home, he travelled to various
parts of China. Several years later, a new realisation dawned on him. He told
himself, 'I have travelled far and wide in search of the truth that exists in
the universe, but now I realise that this truth is omnipresent; it exists
everywhere.' He ended his travels and returned home.
Around the age of 30, he moved with his
parents to Luoyang, an ancient, historic city and home to many virtuous and
learned individuals.
He lived with his parents in a very simple
old house.
Every day, he cooked for his parents
himself. Although he was poor, he was at peace and happy. A few years later,
his parents passed away. He was deeply saddened, but he also felt a deep sense
of solace because he had always been by their side during their lives.
After living in Luoyang for several years,
he made friends with several prominent officials and scholars. They became very
close to him and pooled their resources to buy him a nice house. Shao Yong told
them, 'I am very grateful to you all for contributing to this house. It feels
like a peaceful and happy Nest. Now I want to stay home all day and not go
out."
His friends often visited him to talk and
share their reading experiences and insights into life. Their friendship lasted
until they were old.
The literal translation of this idiom is 'a
peaceful and happy nest'.
It is used to describe a place that makes
someone feel safe and happy.
