The last king of the Xia dynasty in China
was named Si Jie, also known as Xia Jie.
He collected a lot of taxes and used them
to build a luxurious and beautiful palace and a huge platform. He also had a
large pool dug in which to row a boat and filled it with Chinese rice wine.
He held an event where 3,000 people drank
around the pool at the same time. After seeing that everyone was drunk, he
laughed happily.
He drank and had fun every day and didn't
care about the lives of the people at all. Under his rule, everyone was very
miserable.
At that time, there was a prince named Zi
Tang.
He was a kind leader who was respected and
supported by everyone in his territory.
Seeing that the people of the Xia Dynasty
were suffering, he led those who wanted to resist tyranny in a fight against
the Xia Dynasty. .
He told these people:
'I don't like war. I am a law-abiding and
peaceful person.
The only reason I will lead you in a
revolution is because Xia Jie is too cruel. Under his leadership, the people of
the Xia dynasty lived in extreme pain. I heard the voices of all those who were
suffering and decided to stand up, take the lead and launch this revolution.
Xia Jie did too many bad things. I believe
that we are fighting on the side of righteousness, so we will definitely win.
I believe that Heaven will help us to
punish Xia Jie, and that the government he leads will definitely be overthrown.
If you are willing to join my revolutionary
army, I promise that, after victory, all the warriors who participated in the
war will be handsomely rewarded.
I will definitely fulfil my promises, and I
will never go back on my word.
In 1600 BC, Zi Tang led a revolutionary
army to victory over the forces of Xia Jie. He unified China and established
the Shang dynasty.

當時有一個諸侯，這個諸侯的名字叫做(子湯)。
他是一個很仁慈的領導者，他受到他的領地中的所有百姓的尊敬與擁戴。
他看到夏王朝人民生活在痛苦之中，所以他便領導了所有想要反抗暴政的百姓們一起對抗夏王朝。。
他對這些百姓說。
我並不喜歡戰爭，我是一個很遵守法律與安分的人。
我會領導大家一起發動革命的原因是因為(夏桀)太殘暴了，在他的領導下夏王朝的人民生活在極度的痛苦之中，所以我聽到正在受苦的所有人民們的聲音，我認為我應該要站出來領導並發動這場革命。
(夏桀)做的壞事太多了，我認為我們是代表正義的上天去攻打他，所以我們一定會勝利。
我相信上天會幫助我們懲罰(夏桀)，(夏桀)領導的政府一定會被我們推翻。
如果你們願意加入我的革命軍，我答應你們，在勝利之後，我會給所有參與這場戰爭的勇士們非常多的獎賞。
我承諾的這些話我一定會兌現，我絕對不會吃掉我說過的話。
