The famous book, The Analects of Confucius,
was not written by Confucius himself.
Instead, it was his students who recorded
his teachings and compiled them into a book.
After his death, his disciples also taught
and promoted his thoughts in various places, so the book also contains many of
their learning experiences and insights.
Confucius lived about 2,500 years ago when
there was no paper.
Consequently, these students had to
summarise Confucius's words into brief sentences, which they then carved onto thin
bamboo strips.
This is why the sentences in this book are
so short.
One of Confucius's students, Zeng Shen,
once shared his inner feelings with his students while learning and promoting
Confucius's thoughts.
An important core concept in Confucius's doctrine
is that he emphasises care, empathy, and compassion between people. He believed

Having studied Confucius's thoughts, I
believe his ideas are truly great. He regarded the realisation of peace and
friendship for all mankind as his responsibility.

person Confucius describes, I believe the first step is to cultivate strong
willpower.

achieve.

friendship for all of humanity is enormous, and the journey is long, so we must
have strong willpower to achieve it.
