A single needle prick causes immediate
During China's Jin dynasty, there was a
famous minister named Tao Kan. His story is recorded in history books.
He made significant contributions to the
Eastern Jin Dynasty by quelling numerous rebellions.
History books recount his story.
He entered the Jin Dynasty's central
government at a very young age. Due to his lack of social status, he believed
he would live an ordinary life.
However, two events occurred that
completely changed his beliefs.
One day, he was at a party with friends.
Midway through the party, he went to the restroom. After leaving, he
encountered a man. The man was wearing a red robe and a turban, which was a
fashionable headdress at the time. The man was holding a board reserved only
for high-ranking officials. The man politely addressed him: 'You are a
respectable man. I have been sent to deliver a message to you. You will become
the most important minister in the Jin Dynasty. Your status and power will
surpass those of anyone else. You will simultaneously hold military control
over up to eight states.'
Tao Kan thought the man might be mentally
unstable, so he didn't take it seriously.
Not long after, another incident occurred.
By chance, he met a famous fortune teller.
The fortune teller was so surprised to see him that he took the initiative to
tell him, "
'I specialise in predicting a person's
future destiny through their face or palm lines.
Based on your face, I predict that you will
have at least ministerial-level power and status.' If there is a distinct
straight line on your left middle finger running from the centre of your palm
to the tip of your middle finger, your future achievements will exceed everyone's
imagination.'
After hearing the fortune teller's words,
he became extremely excited. They gave him a completely new vision of his
future, and he thought back to the strange man in red clothes he had seen a few
days earlier. Looking down at his left middle finger, he saw a straight line
running from the centre of his palm to his middle finger, almost reaching the
tip.
That night, he was home alone and unable to
sleep. He looked at his left middle finger and a thought suddenly struck him.
There is supposedly an effective divination
method: prick your finger and spill the blood on the wall. The pattern formed
by the bloodstains is then used to determine whether it is a good or bad omen.
I'll try it out and see what the results are.
He took a needle and pricked his left
middle finger, squeezing out a small amount of blood. He spilled the blood onto
the wall of his home. Suddenly, something strange happened: the bloodstains
naturally formed a Chinese character. This character was the common name for the
highest official position in the ancient Chinese central government.
This experience gave him a powerful
psychological boost and increased his confidence. He was convinced that his
future would be great. From that day onwards, he approached his work with a
more positive and enthusiastic attitude.
This idiom literally means 'blood
immediately flows out upon a needle prick'. It has also come to be used to
describe someone who speaks directly and to the point. It is also used to
describe an article whose argument is insightful and pertinent.
Dear friends, what insights or thoughts

(A single needle prick causes
immediate bleeding.)
