王敦的軍隊的根據地在現在的中國得湖北省的武昌市，他認為溫嶠是一個有才能的人，他也覺得自己可以控制溫嶠，所以他要求司馬紹讓溫嶠成為自己手下的軍事幕僚。
溫嶠到了武昌市成為王敦手下的軍事幕僚之後，由於他的工作能力很強，他把自己手上的工作都完美的完成，他很快地就取得了王敦的重視，
溫嶠在工作的同時也開始暗中觀察，他發現王敦有著反叛中央政府的企圖，所以他開始小心且謹慎地蒐集王敦想要反叛的證據。
溫嶠到了武昌市工作幾個月之後，有一個機會來了，武昌市與首都中間，有一個城市名字叫做丹陽市。丹陽市的市長有空缺，丹陽市的市長的任命權在王敦的手中。
溫嶠表面上表現出對這個職位不感興趣的樣子，另外他還演了一場戲，在一場宴會上，他表演了一場戲，他假裝喝醉，他的眼淚與鼻涕流個不停，他表現出想要繼續待在武昌市的樣子。
王敦看到他的這場表演之後，他認為溫嶠已經改變立場成為支持自己的人了，他認為自己已經可以完全控制溫嶠，所以王敦最後決定讓溫嶠去擔任丹陽市的市長。
溫嶠利用自己的智慧成功的脫離被王敦的勢力完全控制的武昌市。

This blog was originally created to

During the Jin dynasty in China, there was
a famous minister named Wen Qiao, about whom history books record a story.
The second emperor of the Eastern Jin
dynasty was Sima Shao. He had a very good relationship with Wen Qiao and
trusted him greatly; in turn, Wen Qiao was extremely loyal to him.
The Jin dynasty comprised several prominent
families, the most powerful of which was the Wang family, whose members were
the most famous. Many officials in the central government of the Eastern Jin
dynasty were members of the Wang family, and this family wielded more power
than the royal family.
During Sima Shao's reign, the most powerful
Wang family member was a general named Wang Dun, who commanded the Eastern Jin
Dynasty's most powerful army.
Wang Dun's army was based in Wuchang in the
Chinese province of Hubei. Recognising Wen Qiao's talent, Wang Dun asked Sima
Shao to appoint him as his military advisor, believing he could control him.
After arriving in Wuchang and becoming Wang
Dun's advisor, Wen Qiao's strong work ethic and excellent performance quickly
earned him Wang Dun's favour.
While working, Wen Qiao also secretly
observed Wang Dun and discovered his intention to rebel against the central
government. Therefore, he carefully and cautiously began gathering evidence of
Wang Dun's plans.
Several months after arriving in Wuchang,
an opportunity arose. Between Wuchang and the capital was a city called
Danyang. The mayoral position in Danyang was vacant, and Wang Dun had the power
to appoint the mayor.
Wen Qiao feigned disinterest in the
position. At a banquet, he even staged a performance, pretending to be drunk
with tears and snot flowing incessantly, to suggest that he wanted to remain in
Wuchang.
Having witnessed this, Wang Dun concluded
that Wen Qiao had switched sides and was now supporting him. Convinced that he
could control Wen Qiao completely, Wang Dun ultimately decided to appoint him
as mayor of Danyang.
However, Wen Qiao successfully escaped from
Wuchang, which was under the complete control of Wang Dun.
The idiom literally translates as "his
tears and snot flowed incessantly".
It is used to describe someone who is
extremely sad.
